Netanya-Plasmatec Ltd (Plasmatec)
was founded in Israel in 1994 by a group of scientists, engineers,
metallurgists and entrepreneurs. Plasmatec has developed the Plasma
Treatment Casting (PTC) process, which uses a plasma arc to stir the
molten metal during solidification result's in increase casting
yield and improve quality of metals castings.
The PTC technology is the best known way to stir metal during
solidification which is feasible and commercial in the casting
industry today.
In 2007 the PTC was implemented commercially in mass
production of gravity die casting of cylinder heads in Japan.
Plasmatec has registered and been granted patents for its PTC
process in 41 countries world wide.
Plasmatec has developed and applied the PTC process for Aluminum GDC
of automotive parts, Aluminum Sand Casting, Aluminum Lost Foam
Casting, high grade Steel Ingot, Steel and cast/ductile iron Sand
Casting, and Semi Continuous Casting/direct chilled casting of
Aluminium and Copper alloys.
